Gatefold 180 gram black vinyl.

This album was originally intended to have 11 tracks, but the song which was supposed to be the 10th track, "Left Hand Shake", had to be dropped due to problems getting the rights to use some samples of Timothy Leary speaking.

Still In Mind
Second best Skinny Puppy's album, Too Dark Park being number one. This pressing is awesome, I just don't understand why the artwork on front cover is so small on this release comparing to other full size ones.
Some clarifications on realdemagic's comments:The poll was held by Nettwerk, not the band. They asked the members of the forum. Therefore, the poll could only include Nettwerk releases... which is why the Process, etc. was not included. It was also not a simple "rerelease", it was to be a remastered release... meaning which album folks most wanted to hear get the big treatment for vinyl.
Just out of curiosity, anyone know how many copies of this were pressed?
This vinyl set is the result of a poll the band held. They asked the fan community which release they would want released on vinyl. Here's the bad news-Last Rights was released on vinyl in the UK and saw promotional releases in the US. While it may be pricey, it WAS previously released on vinyl. Why everyone voted for this and not The Process, Greater Wrong of the Right, or the Back and Forth series is beyond me. One of these would have expanded SP's vinyl catalog and pleased completists everywhere. So that is a HUGE bummer. However, the good news is you can now get this album on vinyl cheaper and easier, and the vinyl is 180 grams at 45 RPM, which is WAY better than the previous release. This also comes with a bonus CD of the album for easy digitizing, and if you're like me and own the original pressing with the tracking errors, it's nice to have a corrected CD.
I voted for Last Rights on Litany because it was the missing link in my collection of Puppy albums as it was the most expensive record--at that time it was retailing for $200 for an original version with the full artwork. If they re-issued the rest of their catalog with treatment like this I would buy two copies of them all. Having 2x180 gram LPs just added to the quality and the added CD was a nice touch. It truly is a shame that Left Handshake still couldn't be included.
To add some corrections to and help answer your questions about "why":It was Nettwerk (not the band) who held the poll. They polled the members of the forums about which Nettwerk SP release should be issues on limited vinyl - Last Rights won that poll.
you answered your own question as to why this was chosen. nettwerk is who was releasing the vinyl, so the process and tgwotr are immediately disqualified, as they never owned the rights to publish those records. last rights is, while you may disagree, considered by many to be their finest work. a natural choice. i myself voted in the poll (for this record), and own a copy... and it is simply fantastic. i couldn't be more pleased with this. my only wish is that nettwerk would give too dark or rabies similar treatment (or any of them, for that matter).
