when i first heard "Anti Political Behaviour" i knew, i had to buy this one. this was before it got reissued and remastered recently by Musique Pour La Danse. this track is so unique in its arrangement and fulfilled with 100% 313 Detroit vibes, combined with that groovy hi-hats/percussion section. agree with TIM about the Japanese feeling also. its nearly without bass but you dont miss the bassdrum in this one, which makes it also super interesting to mix with a tool or bassdrum heavy track. "Circles" is also worth to mention. again, so much Detroit in'it but more laidback in it's vibe. would be curious how the sound changed on the Reissue. anyways, will never sell my OG copy.
A much overlooked Detroit 12". The B sides are Detroit ambient tracks of the highest order. Anti Political Behavior has a Japanese melocholly feel to it with its almost organic chimes melodies. On par with anything Kenny Larkin had did around similar times. Circles compliments B1 as an extention of the same memorable mood. Peaceful yet futuristic. Raver of the Lost Funk is also of the post apocalyptic Detroit setting. Orlando Voom should not be overlooked.
